Strengthening Hanley Hills Through Tree Care and Conservation

The Village of Hanley Hills is proud to announce a successful partnership with Beyond Housing and the Missouri Department of Conservation Community Forestry Cost Share Program. This collaboration has allowed us to secure funding for essential tree care and management initiatives, ensuring the long-term health and safety of our community’s green spaces.
Thanks to this support, we have been able to prune and/or remove over 132 trees, addressing potential safety hazards while preserving the many benefits trees bring to our village. Healthy trees play a crucial role in enhancing our community by reducing stormwater runoff, improving air quality, and beautifying our streets and parks. These efforts demonstrate our continued dedication to creating a safe, vibrant, and sustainable environment for all residents of Hanley Hills.

Storm Tree Safety and Dead Tree Removal Services

In the event of fallen trees or limbs after a storm, please prioritize safety. Contact Ameren for assistance and call 911 if there is an immediate hazard. You can also report the issue to our office so the Public Works or Parks and Trees Department can address it promptly. Avoid touching any downed wires—leave it to the professionals to handle safely.

If you need a dead tree removed from your yard, Tree Removal Request Forms are available at Hanley Hills City Hall. Once submitted, your name will be added to a waiting list. This service is provided through a grant from Beyond Housing and managed by Arborist Doug Sealy.

Additionally, Doug Sealy has two paid intern positions available, starting at $15 per hour. The Native Plant Species Department is also hiring for four Native Plant Species Technician roles. To apply, visit the Beyond Housing website, search for careers, and submit your application.
